Questions we get at the front desk.

How long will the results of my facial last?2026-09-28T15:02:08-04:00

You may notice an immediate glow and smoother skin for several days. Longer-term improvement comes from consistent home care and regular facial treatments.

How often should I get a facial?2026-09-28T15:01:32-04:00

For many people, every 4–6 weeks is a great rhythm. Your esthetician can recommend a schedule based on your skin, your goals, and the treatments you’re receiving.

My skin is a little red or sensitive. Is that normal?2026-09-28T15:02:37-04:00

Yes. Mild redness, warmth, tightness, or sensitivity can happen after a facial, especially if your treatment included exfoliation or extractions. This usually settles down within several hours. Keep your skincare simple and gentle while your skin calms down.

What should I put on my skin tonight?2026-09-28T15:02:49-04:00

Keep it simple. Use a gentle cleanser and moisturizer, and avoid adding a bunch of extra products. Your skin just had a treatment, so tonight is not the night to experiment with something new.

When can I use retinol, acids, scrubs, or exfoliating products again?2026-09-28T15:02:54-04:00

Give your skin a little break. We generally recommend avoiding retinol, strong acids, scrubs, and exfoliating masks for at least 12–24 hours after your facial. Depending on the treatment you received, your esthetician may recommend waiting longer.

Can I work out, use the sauna, or take a really hot shower?2026-09-28T15:03:01-04:00

We recommend avoiding intense exercise, saunas, steam rooms, and excessive heat for about 12–24 hours. Heat and sweating can make freshly treated skin more irritated.

What if I notice a small breakout afterward?2026-09-28T15:03:50-04:00

Don’t panic. Occasionally, you may notice a small breakout, dryness, or minor skin changes as your skin adjusts after a facial. Resist the urge to pick or over-treat it. Give your skin time and keep your routine gentle.

Do I need sunscreen after my facial?2026-09-28T15:03:10-04:00

Yes. Your skin may be more sensitive to the sun after exfoliation, so we recommend wearing SPF 30 or higher and limiting prolonged sun exposure.

When can I wash my face?2026-09-28T15:03:16-04:00

You can usually wash your face that evening with a gentle cleanser and lukewarm water. Avoid scrubbing or using anything harsh unless your esthetician gives you different instructions.

Still have a question?2026-09-28T15:03:27-04:00

Your skin isn’t exactly like anyone else’s. If something doesn’t feel right or you’re unsure what products to use after your treatment, reach out to us. We’d much rather you ask than guess.
