A LITTLE UNDERSTANDING BEFORE YOU UNWIND
What is reflexology?
Reflexology applies focused pressure to specific areas of the feet or hands. A practitioner uses fingers and thumbs to work these areas, rather than relying only on the broader strokes you might expect from a foot massage.
Traditional reflexology maps describe points as corresponding to other parts of the body. That is the theory behind the practice; it is not a proven way to diagnose illness or heal an organ.
At Body Ache Escape, your session is a chance to put your feet up, settle into attentive care, and enjoy time that belongs entirely to you.

Reflexology FAQs
What is reflexology?
Reflexology uses focused pressure on specific areas of the feet or hands. At Body Ache Escape, our reflexology service offers time to settle in and enjoy attentive foot-focused work.
How is reflexology different from a foot massage?
A foot massage generally uses broader massage movements for local comfort. Reflexology uses more focused pressure on mapped reflex areas. Tell us whether you prefer a foot-focused session or massage for tension elsewhere so we can help you choose.
How much is reflexology at Body Ache Escape?
Reflexology is $90 for 60 minutes or $129 for 90 minutes. Choose the appointment length that fits your visit.
Does reflexology hurt or tickle?
Pressure should stay within your comfort level. Some areas may feel tender or ticklish. Tell your therapist so they can adjust the pressure or avoid an area. You do not need to endure pain for a worthwhile session.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows access to your feet and lower legs. Your therapist will explain positioning and any adjustments before you begin.
Can reflexology treat an organ problem or diagnose a condition?
No. Reflex maps are part of reflexology theory, but a connection between pressing a foot point and healing a particular organ has not been proven. Reflexology does not diagnose illness or replace medical treatment.
What if I have foot pain, an injury, or a health condition?
Let us know before booking about a recent injury, surgery, wounds, altered sensation, or a condition affecting your feet. Ask your healthcare provider whether hands-on work is appropriate. Persistent or unexplained foot pain needs assessment rather than a reflexology diagnosis.
Can I choose a full-body massage instead?
Absolutely. If your main concern is tension in your back, neck, shoulders, or other muscles, therapeutic massage may better fit what you want addressed. We can help you decide before booking.
How often should I book reflexology?
There is no required schedule. Choose a frequency that fits your preferences, budget, and how you feel after your visit. We do not require a series or promise a specific result.
