FAQ #4
Will the massage therapist be there when I undress?
As you get ready for your massage, do you ever wonder if the therapist will be in the room when you undress? You’re not alone! Get ready for some massaging knowledge! In this post, we’ll answer all of your questions about getting undressed before a session. Keep reading to learn more!
In North America, the massage therapist leaves the room so that you can remove your clothing in private and lie on the massage table under the top sheet and/or blanket. The therapist will only uncover the part of your body they are working on. You’ll never be exposed to any unnecessary discomfort or risk!
Don’t rush or worry that the massage therapist will walk in on you undressing. The massage therapist always checks if you are ready before entering the massage room. Sometimes the therapist may give you an extra minute or two then you need. Deep breathing can be a great way to calm yourself before the session starts. Take big breaths in for six seconds and out on ten, then repeat at least two more times while waiting patiently with an open mind!
If you feel uncomfortable being undressed, please let us know in advance so that we can be adequately prepared. It is best to wear loose shorts and a bra that clasps in the back if you are not comfortable. This way the massage therapist can unclasp it when you are face down.
