Am I Supposed to Take Off My Underwear for the Massage?

If you’re considering a massage, you may be wondering if you need to remove your underwear. Fear not, we will not be requiring anyone to go commando for their massage! While it is generally more comfortable to remove your underwear so the therapist can access all of the muscles in your body, it’s ultimately up to you. So feel free to keep your skivvies on – or not! We won’t judge. :-)

Question #2
Am I supposed to take off my underwear?

Many people prefer to keep their panties or briefs on during a massage, while others prefer to be completely nude. It’s up to you.

If your problem areas are your lower back, hips, buttocks, or groin, tight-fitting underwear can sometimes get in the way of massage work, but a thong for women or briefs for men should do the trick. Please, men, if you want your legs worked on, do not wear tight-fitting boxer briefs for your massage. It makes it impossible to get to the area needing work.

In North America, if you do remove your underwear, licensed massage therapists must ensure that you are always properly covered by a sheet or towel. Only the area being massaged will be uncovered.

So, what’s the verdict? Do you go commando for your massage or do you bring your skivvies? Ultimately, it’s up to you. We just wanted to give you all the information so that you can make the best decision for yourself.
