How to Stop Pain in 3 Steps

ALT="HOW TO STOP PAIN"

Imagine you are at work, and your back starts to ache. You try to ignore it at first, but the pain gets worse and worse. Eventually, you have to go home because you can’t take the pain anymore. Does this sound familiar? If so, you’re not alone. Millions of Americans deal with chronic pain every day. But there is hope! In this blog post, I will teach you three steps that can help stop pain in its tracks. So keep reading to learn how to stop pain!

1. Stop perpetuating factors.

Pain is something we all deal with. It’s a part of life, but it doesn’t have to control us!

There are lots of things we do (or don’t do) every day that cause pain. So many that there are too many to list in this post, but I will list a few to get your brain juices flowing. Be mindful about what you do that could be causing your pain and make changes before things get worse for the best outcome possible.

Perpetuating Factors

Different Leg Lengths

Small Hemipelvis

Various Vitamin Deficiencies

Bad Mattress

Wrong Office Chair Height (Arms or Seat)

Too much of anything (typing, exercise, driving)

2. Stretch the problem areas.

You can get a lot of stretches on our YouTube Channel.

Along those same lines, but opposite concept….strengthen weak areas. People who have back pain commonly have weak glutes. People who have shoulder problems can have weakened upper back muscles.

3. Get a Massage!

If you have fixed the perpetuating factors and have stretched as much as you can, come to get a massage! Massage helps pain get better about 50% each visit, so it really doesn’t take that many massages to help chronic pain start feeling better.

We are in Pickerington, Ohio, and would love to help you get out of pain! Give us a call to schedule your massage. 614-604-6358
